Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 21, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how VladyslavTysiachnyi Web Solutions("we," "us," or "our"), based in Poland, collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use Wire Chord Studio at wirechord.com (the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information we collect
Account information. When you register, we collect information such as your email address, display name, and password (stored in hashed form).
Jam session data. To run rooms, we process information needed for real-time collaboration, such as room identifiers, participant display names, selected instruments, MIDI messages, optional voice audio streams, and connection metadata (for example, timing and transport state).
Device and usage information. We may collect browser type, device characteristics, approximate region derived from network information, pages viewed, feature usage, crash reports, and similar technical logs needed to operate and improve the Service.
Local storage. Your browser may store preferences (such as display name or instrument choice), cached instrument samples, and similar data in localStorage or IndexedDB to improve performance. This data stays on your device unless you clear site data.
Payment information. If you purchase a paid plan, Stripe processes payment details on our behalf. We receive billing-related information such as subscription status, plan type, and limited card metadata (for example, last four digits and expiration), not your full card number.
Advertising data (free users). If you use a free plan with banner ads enabled, we and our advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies to serve, cap frequency of, and measure ads, as permitted by your settings and applicable law.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, secure, and maintain the Service, including real-time MIDI and voice jamming.
- Create and manage accounts, authenticate users, and process subscriptions.
- Improve latency, reliability, audio quality, and product features.
- Communicate with you about the Service, security notices, and support requests.
- Show banner advertisements to free-tier users and measure ad performance.
- Detect abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms of Service.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our policies.
4. What we do not do with your email
We do not sell, rent, or trade your email address to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We use your email to operate your account, send Service-related messages (such as security alerts, billing receipts, or important policy updates), and respond when you contact us. Marketing emails, if we send them in the future, will include a way to opt out.
5. Real-time MIDI and voice data
MIDI events and voice audio are transmitted in real time to other participants in a room you join. They are processed to enable collaboration, not licensed or sold as standalone recordings.
We do not intend to publish or commercially exploit your live performances. Temporary technical processing, buffering, and server logs may occur as part of normal network operation. We do not use your live audio or MIDI streams to train unrelated third-party AI models.
6. Advertising on the free tier
Free users may see small banner advertisements in the Service. Ad partners may collect or receive limited information (such as cookie IDs, coarse location, or device type) to deliver relevant ads and report aggregate performance.
Where required by law, we will provide consent or opt-out mechanisms for non-essential cookies or personalized advertising. Paid subscribers generally will not see these banner ads as part of their plan.
7. Payments through Stripe
Payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe's collection and use of payment information is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. We receive only the information Stripe shares with merchants to manage subscriptions and billing support.
8. How we share information
We may share information only in these situations:
- Service providers that help us run the Service (hosting, networking, email delivery, analytics, advertising, and payment processing), under contracts that limit their use of data to providing services to us.
- Other participants in a jam room, who receive the MIDI and optional voice data needed for real-time collaboration.
- Authorities or third parties when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Privacy Policy or notice to you.
We do not share your email address with advertisers or data brokers for their independent marketing lists.
9. Data retention
We keep account information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Server logs and security records are retained for limited periods based on operational need.
You may request deletion of your account by contacting us. Some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention and completed transaction records processed through Stripe.
10. Security
We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to a real-time web service, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/WSS), access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Your rights and choices
Because we are established in Poland (European Union), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to our processing of personal data. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Receive a portable copy of certain data.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Poland: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, UODO).
To exercise these rights, email wirechordstudio@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You can also clear local browser storage for the site in your browser settings.
12. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
13. International users
The Service may be operated from and use infrastructure in multiple countries. If you access the Service from outside your home country, your information may be processed in locations with different data protection laws than your own. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We may also notify registered users by email for significant changes.
